Hanging Out With Jesus

When the people saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

Something happens to those who hang out with Jesus!  No one can take a human life and transform it like He can.  The Bible is full of stories about people, simple ordinary people like you and me.  The world changed the day that Jesus walked the shores of Galilee recruiting common everyday people and inviting them to join Him on a journey of faith that would change their lives for all eternity.  It was a simple invitation from the Savior to Peter and his friends, come and hang out with me!

Who are you hanging out with these days?

The pull and cares of this world have great power to deceive and to draw each of us away from the truth of God and His Word.  No one knows that better than Jesus and He wants to help us.  Jesus wants to give us the strength and power to live His Word in the midst of our daily lives.  As you hang out in this world, you are going to need courage to stand for truth.  People are looking for truth and a faith that is real.  As others look at your life what do they see?  Do they see a religion of rules or a relationship with the Author of Life?  Hanging out with Jesus will empower you with courage to show others a faith that is real.

You can make a difference in this world.  Others are watching your every move.  Maybe it’s time that others take note of your life.  Hang out with Jesus and it will happen.  Give Him your best and He will make it better.  Will this be easy?  No way!  Peter and John were in jail because they hung out with Jesus.  Maybe someday you and I may find ourselves in some rather difficult circumstances.  No matter where Jesus sends us, He will go with us.

Jesus knows your name and where you live and He is looking forward to your time together.  Are you up for the challenge?  Are you ready for this faith filled journey?  The Savior of the world wants to hang with you, simply because He loves you!

Enjoy your time!
