We Are at War!

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. If you have chosen to follow Jesus and be one of His disciples this scripture in Ephesians should remind us that we have an enemy, our enemy is real and we are at war! I have great respect for George Barna and the work he does at Barna Research. In 2007 they did a national survey on the existence of satan. Their findings should shock us!
46% of born again Christians deny satan’s existence.
How about you, do you believe that satan is real? The bible is very clear. The devil is real and we are his targets. This is not just any war; this is a war of epic proportion. The enemy’s goal is to destroy you and the work of Christ Jesus in you. Is he real? You bet and we better take him seriously!
Now the great news! The bible tells us in 1 John 3:3 that Jesus came to destroy the devil’s work. Today you may be facing many struggles in your life and asking yourself if you have what it takes to continue the fight. Take heart, stand your ground and battle on. This war can and will be won as you walk in the power and the strength of Christ.
Jesus chose you and appointed you to help carry out the will of God on this earth. If we are to win this war over darkness, we must understand who our enemy is and how he has chosen to fight. War is never easy and in war there are casualties. Don’t you be one! God has not only called you, He has equipped you. Your armor was designed for you in heaven and carries a lifetime guarantee!!! You can’t buy this armor on earth. It was purchased with the red blood of Jesus on a hill called Calvary.
